CAPITAL AREA SPORTSMEN FOR YOUTH
FIELD DAY GUIDELINES
SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 2025
This year’s Field Day will be held at Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers (HHA), 6611 Hunters Run Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111, Saturday, June 14, 2025, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. ----------------- RAIN OR SHINE!!!
The Registration / Release From Liability Form must be returned to Capital Area Sportsmen For Youth, electronically online at www.casfy.org, or by mail at P.O. Box 6233 Harrisburg, PA 17112 prior to the event. Walk-in registrants must complete the Registration and Release forms upon arrival.
All persons attending must check in at the REGISTRATION AREA on the HHA Club grounds beginning at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the event before participating. WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS AND PRE-REGISTERED CHECK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED throughout the day of the event. All participating youth MUST have an accompanying responsible adult during the entire event.
This event will be held at HHA grounds covering 150 acres of fields, dirt roads, and hills. NO OPEN-TOED SHOES MAY BE WORN BY ANY PARTICIPANT…NO EXCEPTIONS.
An adult guide will accompany each group during the event. All youth must stay in their assigned group for safety reasons. All participants and adult chaperones MUST wear the colored wristband they are given at check-in during the entire event.
All activities are open to youth ages 8 to 16 years. Event chairmen will have the final word on any individual’s participation.
All equipment will be supplied by CASFY. This includes firearms, fishing tackle, ammunition, bait and targets. NO OUTSIDE GUNS OR AMMUNITION WILL BE PERMITTED. There will be no fees charged for any activity, food, or beverage.
At approximately 11:00 a.m., activities will shut down for lunch in two shifts. Lunch will be provided for both youth participants and their accompanying adult. Activities will fully resume at 12:00 p.m. followed by raffles and awards at 2:30 p.m.
Each activity area will have its own staff to welcome and instruct the youth. After a brief orientation, each youth will be invited to participate in the activity. Participation in any given activity is optional, not mandatory. Activities include:

The goal of the Capital Area Sportsmen For Youth Field Day is to have fun while learning outdoor skills. For safety reasons, NO RECKLESS OR CARELESS CONDUCT WILL BE TOLERATED.
Events will be supervised and coached by members of the Capital Area Sportsmen For Youth. All archery and shooting events will be conducted using one-on-one coaching and range safety officers. Every precaution in preparation and safety will be taken.
Qualified EMT’s will be on the grounds at ALL TIMES during the event.
All efforts will be made to assist youth with disabilities who wish to participate in field day activities. Please alert the Capital Area Sportsmen For Youth Field Day Staff to any special needs when returning your registration/liability forms.
